Apparent Family: Age Suitability

Apparent Family is a chores-and-rewards app for families, rated 4+. A parent or caretaker sets up and manages everything; a child uses a simple, game-like task list on their own device.

Suitable for all ages

• No objectionable content. The app contains only the tasks, rewards, and star values a family creates for itself. There is no violence, sexual content, profanity, gambling, horror themes, or mature content of any kind.
• No advertising of any kind, first- or third-party.
• No social features. No social media, no feeds, no user-to-user chat, and no content shared outside a family's own private account.
• No unrestricted web access. The app contains no browser.
• No purchases. The app contains no in-app purchases, loot boxes, or paid promotions.

Parent-managed by design

• A parent creates the account, enters all household and child details, and controls every task and reward.
• Children do not create accounts, enter personal information, or communicate with anyone outside their family. The only child input is completing tasks, asking their own grown-ups for help, and an optional short note to their own parent when submitting a task for review.
• We collect an age group (e.g. "elementary"), never a birthdate. The camera scans a parent-provided invite QR code. On a task where a parent has asked to see one, and only after that parent has agreed to the notice describing photos, the child can take an optional photo of the finished task; it is deleted when the parent decides on the task, and within 30 days at most. No other photos are taken or stored.
